Sheinbaum Report Card

Travis Bembenek, publisher and editor of Mexico Daily News, will provide an in-depth analysis of the first sixteen months of President Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration, examining both its achievements and its challenges. He will also outline Sheinbaum’s vision for the future and assess the practicality of her proposed initiatives.

Travis Bembenek is a Wisconsin native who fell in love with Mexico during a semester abroad program at the University of Wisconsin. He completed an Executive MBA program at Northwestern University and worked in the corporate world. In 2022, Travis and his wife, Tamanna, bought the Mexico Daily News with the goal of “changing the narrative” about Mexico from one dominated by stories about cartels and corruption to one rooted in the amazing, positive realities of the Mexican people and economy.
